My name is Greg Mathews and I live in the United Kingdom, no that is not a state in the USA but a country in it’s own right.

By profesion I am a perl developer writing custom scripts as well as selling scripts on my site at CGISCRIPTS4U.com but in reality I do anything and everything from writing perl scripts to selling items on Ebay (going2auction.co.uk).

I have been working online since 1995 when the only ISP in the UK was a company called compuserv, and in 1997 I joined a web hosting company who where based in California (Yes that is a US state), as their first remotely based Customer Support team member.

Since that time I have been in and out of ‘employment’ working for others but I keep coming back to working for myself which I love doing.

I have been thinking about starting a blog for some time now and a few months ago the domains gregorymathews.com and gregorymathews.name came up so I thought I would snatch them for the purpose of my own blog. However due to the birth of Pixel Advertising it has taken me longer than expected to get it off the ground.
