out of google index again
October 25th, 2008 by GregGoogle is really confusing me these days.
A month ago wrote Strange things with Google sitemaps but now Google has yet again removed YzooSearch from their index. In the earlier post I mentioned how Webmaster tools reported that Googlebot had not visited the homepage since June 5th, well that has changed and the message is a positive ‘Googlebot has successfully accessed your home page’ but still no pages are indexed.
As many of the long time regulars to this blog will know, I have already reduced the size of the site and the hosting it required down from 12 servers to 5 currently. I am at the stage now where if I remove any more servers I might as well shut the site down, well I might get away with doing away with one more server, but every time I think ‘OK it’s time to cut my loses’, Adsense earnings creep up slightly, although not making me a profit if things stay as they are at the moment the Adsense will cover the cost of the hosting.
If Google does re-index, and lets face it over the past 18 months or so the site has been in and out of the index 3 or 4 times, then adsense will rocket but if Google doesn’t re-index and do it fast then adsense stays the same then basically the YzooSearch is costing me in time but not money and the returns would be non existent.
Oh well lets see what happens over the next month hey (Again)
