I’m Bloody fuming

November 3rd, 2008 by Greg

Sorry but I am.

Back in July 2006 a customer of my sites cgiscripts4u.com and 5centpixels.com asked me if I could write a Meta search engine script for him. We agreed a price and I coded the script and showed him a demonstration of it.

He then decided it was too slow for what he wants so I left the demo running on Yzoo.co.uk to showcase custom work I can do. He had not even paid me for the domain name which he had asked me to register.

After a few weeks, I had a quiet period so I thought I play with it, even posting ‘Yzoo – my latest project’ on this blog. By September 2006 I was posting ‘Yzoo MetaCrawler Site getting traffic‘ and yet no communication was received from the original customer about it, even though he was still purchasing pixels from 5centpixels.com etc

Over the next two years I was posting subjects such as:
Yzoo MetaCrawler Script for sale (limited)
Time will tell
Yzoo.co.uk In top 100,000 sites according to alexa.com
Sigh of releif
yzoo search script soon to be available

Even after all this and other posts which gave an idea of how much the site was earning the customer NEVER emailed me about either buying the script, the site or anything. He has purchased another script and has it running on his site.

Now, more than two years after I developed the site, he decided to respond to my post
Time to buck your idea’s up claiming I cut him out of the deal.

What did he expect me to do? he decided the script was not what he wanted, he decided not to pay me for my work nor the domain name, I had spent weeks and now months over the past 2 years and he didn’t even show any interest. I am Fuming.

That’s messed up. I hope he doesn’t interrupt your life by trying to take the case to court. I’m in a similar situation, although there is no revenue involved, just my expense.

First off we never agreed a price we agreed to be partners you would develop and I would SEO and promote and provided the Ideas. I offered to buy the script and you did not want to sell it to me fearing duplicate contest would hurt your yzoo.co.uk site that I ask you to register for me. You made over 100k off my idea

    Gary

First of no we never agreed a price as you said you did not want the script as it is ‘too slow’. We NEVER agreed a partnership of any kind.

You then offered to buy the script months later, realising that you turning the script down was a mistake. YOUR MISTAKE.

You did ask me to register the domain but did you ever pay me for the domain? oh no that is something else you didn’t want to do.

Now two years later you decide to slag me off on MY Blog. If I was in the wrong do you honestly think I would leave these accusations by you on my own blog?
