Ooh I like it and so excited

January 31st, 2009 by Greg

I know many of you will not be interested in this post as you are not out to earn money of the internet but heck I am so excited.

A couple of weeks ago I told you about the Web Prosperity business oportunity. Many of you took a look, a few signed up at prelaunch. Well prelaunch is over, all that ‘prelaunch hype’ as some called it should calm down now the business is fully live, but I do beleive that the ‘prelaunch hype’ will now turn into ‘real excitement’.

I’ve been out of the Networking seen for a few years until now and I dropped out of the scene because I never earned a dime. This does not appear to be the case with the Web Prosperity business.

I am already showing an income:) This is a first for me and considering all I have done up to this point is post about it on here.

Web Prosperity sells a product that is of use to all Internet Marketers, including contact management, downline management and web conferencing all for a low cost, you can sign up just as a customer to use the software or you can sign up as a Member for no extra cost and promote the software to your contacts.

The beuty of the business is the 2×15 matrix and a 67% commission payout, this means that you can actually earn money from sales your upline makes.  Let me explain to those that do not know how a matrix works:

You become a member and use the products, (no Internet marketer should be without) and you then recommend the products to 10 people.

Say just 4 of them decide to become members, you will earn from the sale of the product to all of them (PaceSeTer Bonus).

The first two will then become your first line in the matrix. As it is a 2×15 matrix you can have no more than 2 people in your first line so the remaining 2 are put on your 2nd line, this is called a spill over. You then earn commission on everyone below you upto 15 levels, (Momentum Matrix Bonus) This means both you and your first line will earn commission (Momentum Matrix Bonus) on your 3rd and 4th signups. So you are helping them aswell as yourself.

In theory you can earn Momentum Matrix Bonus by doing nothing but you won’t get rich, the more direct sales you make then the deeper into your matrix you earn Momentum Matrix Bonus from.

Other commissions are also available above and beyond the two mentioned.

I am really excited, the fact that a normally ‘Networking loser’ can show an income so quickly tells me this is going to work, and heck the products are great aswell.

The Web Prosperity business.

Email your ad to 1000’s for free

January 30th, 2009 by Greg

Yea, thats right and it is not spam.

I was looking for a way to promote a few things I am currently dabling with and was dubvious about paying too much to send my add to a so called safe list until I stumbled accross the Elite Safelist.

Elite Safelist doesn’t have a massive membership but the good thing is you know the members have double opted in and agreed to read your email ads.

Taken from their site:

Elite Safelist is designed to help Advertise Websites, Internet Businesses, Business Opportunities, and similar programs to help both beginning and experienced entrepreneurs reach a broader audience for FREE!

Safelist members agree to receive advertising e-mails from other members, and in exchange you can share your offers with others. This is a huge benefit to you, because now you have access to an extensive list of prospects who are double opt-in members.

Another geeky dropaholic statistic

January 25th, 2009 by Greg

I know this is not fun for many but here goes.

Last July after chatting with my good friend Joby I created the site Six degrees from you to try to prove ‘the six degree of seperation’ theory one way or another. The theory basically says that one person knows everyone else by the 6th degree of seperation, so a person is one “degree” away from each person he or she knows and two “degrees” away from each person who is known by one of the people he or she knows, then everyone is no more than six “degrees” away from each person on Earth.

The site never took off, so it got forgotten about but this morning for some strange reason I wondered if it could be tested with the monitored blogs on DropaHolics. I quickly put together a small (slow) bit of code that like the widget generator on the site asks you to enter your blog title, it then after a few seconds (or more) tells you how many other blogs you are actually indirectly linked to using the Six degree of seperation theory.

I tested it for about half  a dozen blogs, and it shows that if you are a top dropper on just half a dozen blogs or a lot more you can still be indirectly linked to a good number of other blogs. Funily enough, out of the few i tested, a couple that where not top droppers on more than one or two blogs, most reported being indirectly linked to 97% of the monitored blogs.

It would be interesting to see what other blogs return, take a look at http://dropaholics.com/sixdegree.php and let us know what number it returns for you.

I should add that your blog needs to be being monitored before you can test it, so if it’s not then feel free to add your blog.

More than 750 monitored blogs

January 21st, 2009 by Greg

Well its been just over 2 months now since I launched DropaHolics and its good to see there are now more than 750 blogs that are being monitored for  their top droppers. Accross the 757 (at time of writing) monitored blogs there are a total of 2467 (at time of writing) top droppers.

One thing that surprised me is that doing the maths, it shows that on average each monitored blog has just 3.25 unique top droppers.  In other words, in your top droppers list, the chances are about 3 are a top dropper just on your blog, the other 22 of your top droppers are also on the top droppers list of other blogs as well.

OK I know it means I am sad that I have even thought about it, but hey I am proud to be sad some times:)

The passing of a good friend

January 19th, 2009 by Greg

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved friend, Common Sense, who has been with us many years. No-one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. he will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; Why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn’t always fair; and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

his health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 year old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common sense lost the will to live as churches became businesses and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common sense took a beating when you couldn’t defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realise that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common sense was preceeded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, responsibility, and by his son, reason. He is survived by his stepbrothers; I know my rights, I want it now, Someone else is to blame and I’m a victim.

Not many people attended his funeral as so few realised he was gone. If you still remember him pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

Why do I get distracted so easily

January 17th, 2009 by Greg

This is a major problem I have when I start coding.

I have an idea, I start coding, and need to research something, as the latest project is being written in PHP which is not my ‘native’ coding language, I am looking up the best way to do something.

The trouble with that, I then get side tracked, I spent nearly 4 hours looking for something the other day which in the end I wrote myself in about half an hour, the problem was while looking I would see something different and go of on a tangent and look at other bits of code that I really don’t need for this project.

And then there is Entrecard, I think I will drop on those blogs I like the best just to ensure I get a few drops in, I end up going on and on so although my dropping has reduced while I am working on the project, it has not reduced as much as I had planned.

Oh well, I’ve got just 3 hours today for coding so must go and get on with it.

Web Prosperity has gone live

January 14th, 2009 by Greg

This is not a ‘paid to post’ post but it is another promotion of a business I have just joined in the past couple of weeks.

At the beginning of the year (wow it seems so long ago) I joined Web Prosperity in it’s prelaunch stage. Well it lauched at midday yesterday, I am so excited, the buzz around the net amongst those that have been involved in MLM is just amazing.

I confirmed my position and actually went for their Elite builder system. OK I have not had a comlete look at everything but I can say this looks to be a great tool for internet marketers.

It comprises of :

Contact : this allows you to create email campaigns, send emails to your team and manage followup emails etc.

Media : is all about multimedia on the Internet. It allows you to easily add your own audio and video to your websites and to your emails. You can also create, store and share your photo galleries.

Meeting: You can communicate live through both audio and video via phone and web interface to those you have asked to join.

Address Book : This is a it says on the tin, you can add your contacts manually or import them in CSV format. This is ideal for those that move about and may not always have access to their email contact list etc.

Finder : This appears to be aimed specifically at those who are involved MLM business, it is an intuitive, Flash-based tool that lets you visually browse through your downline

Alarm : Again, as it says on the box, you can add events to it, set alarms via email for events etc

I am not going to push the business to you, the product is great value on it’s own. If you wanted to take part in the business side of it then there is no additional cost involved and you could easily cover the cost of the system by selling package listed above to just 5 others.

If you would like to know more then please visit Web Prosperity or subscribe using the form below and you will receive more information via email.

More work less drops

January 13th, 2009 by Greg

My job is a coder/programmer or whatever people call us these days (no not geek:)) but I tend to spend more time dropping and reading blogs than I do coding anything.

I set up MysteryValentineCard.com which I think it is too early to even expect  anything to come from and it isn’t going to make us rich.

I created DropaHolics.com which took off better than I expected, now with over 720 blogs being monitored and a total of more than 2300 Top droppers  in just two months, but then it is not paying the bills.

My new year resolution was ‘Buckle down and earn some money’ and the latter hasn’t even looked like it is going to happen  yet.

Anyway, while browsing yesterday I come accross a site, that offers a popular service but with a twist and I thought, yea that’s unique maybe I can set up something along the same lines, I have an already registered domain name that would work, I search Google to see if their are any scripts to do the job, heck there are – all above $500 a time, many $1000+ and I am not paying that for something I could do myself, and aswell as using it I can then sell the script aswell.

So that is what I am going to do, but it does mean that my dropping will be reduced over the next few days or so but heck I need something to bring the $$’s in.

I am still looking at the option of creating an EC type of site, but before I do again I need to look at the minor problem of funding it, ie running costs etc.

I hope I don’t loose many of my regular readers:)

How cost effective do you find Adwords?

January 12th, 2009 by Greg

I am sure many of you have used Google Adwords to advertise your site/business and I was wondering how effective you found it?

Did many of the clicks convert into sales?

Was increase in sales a good return of investment for the Adwords ads?

I am thinking about using adwords to promote Mystery Valentine Card, I have used adwords before but to attract traffic to sites that have not necessarily been selling directly but rather generating enquiries and therefor they could show different results.

Would an alternative such as AdBright or bidvertiser be more cost effective?

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Mystery Valentine update

January 10th, 2009 by Greg

OK want to thank those that commented on my Happy Valentine day post.

I took note about the comments regarding people wanting/needing to know and choose which card is going to be sent. We have scanned in all the suitable cards and produced thumbnails of them all.

Now on the order form, once you have selected which region the card is going to, ie USA & Canada or UK & Europe the designs available for that region are displayed. Moving your mouse over the image card pops up the text that is on the card.

We only have thumbnails available due to the massive file sizes of the full size scan.

One other thing, in the batch of card we received in the USA, some cards where for ‘Grandson’ or ‘daughter’ etc, we have decided not to use these cards as to be honest, I couldn’t imagine these being used, am I wrong?  Is it just me that thinks sending a Valtentine card to your daughter is a bit strange?

Greg
