My pockets aren’t deep enough!

I am really getting pissed lately, when ever I go out in the car, the loose change always falls out of my pocket, down the side of the seat and more often than not under the bloody runners so there is no way of getting it out without dismantling the seat.

Why is it pockets in trousers these days are so shallow? The trousers I am wearing now have such shallow pockets that my hand does not fully go into the pocket.

I used to keep my wallet safely in my back pocket, not any more, If I sit down the thing would fall out and be left on the chair or floor when I get up to leave.

Do designers or manufacturers not expect us to put anything in these pockets? Oh yea there is one deeper pocket, it’s below the knee, it is big, it is deep and has a secure zip on it but you need to bend right over to get anything out.

Is it just me, maybe I am getting old and people just don’t carry money about with them, just a plastic card in their deep secure leg pocket.

I beleive this is a conspiracy between 3 factions,

1. the designers/manufacturers – they benefit from using less material in the pockets.

2. Mechanics, they benefit from having the tools required to easily remove the car seat and get some beerĀ  money.

3. Wives/Girlfriends – they benefit probably the most, as you get in the car it’s ‘give me your change/wallet so you don’t drop it down the side of the seat’, Over the course of a year this can become a right little money spinner for them.

We must fight against this conspiracy, bring back deep pockets.

You know what…I have been complaining about today’s fashions for about 10 years now…ever since the whole damn flare thing came back. I’m usually in thrift shops trying to find normal jeans without the flare and without the super-low waist (low is okay, but there is a limit). If I’m not there, I’m at Hot Topic getting some normal skinny jeans…which is absurd on a 40 year old as the rivets are all skulls. Then half the time, my 14 year old is stealing them from me! she’s going thru an emo phase. too funny…

There is one more part of the plot:

Problem: Men’s jeans have very weak back pockets: when you wear your wallet in the back the pocket will prematurely rip right off, often ripping down the backside as well, making the jeans irreparable.

The solution: buy another pair, of course.

I think you forget another conspirator:

4. The teenager who cleans out the car every saturday, instead of taking back the returnables, they simply clean out beneath the driver’s seat and beg off the rest as they are “too tired” to finish the job.

Ah yes, another reason for the designers/manufacturers to get behind the conspiracy:)

Ah, now how did I forget, but hush please, my 13 year old is always ‘to tired’ to start the job, he hasn’t thought about the benefits of cleaning under the drivers seat:)

That is too funny! I have lost my cell phone this same way…luckily it was in my car!

My Cell is forever falling out in the car.
