Looks like old life could be back
June 5th, 2009 by GregWhat a sudden turn around, I have a meta search site called Yzoosearch on which I have been serving a single adsense ad unit on each page for the past few years, it hit a high a couple of years ago but in recent months has brought in about $1000/month. Not an amount to be sneezed at.
I received an email from Google about a week ago advising me that one of the pages had ‘mature’ content and unless I resolved the issue then my they would disable ads on the site.
Considering the results produced by the site are taken from main stream search engines there is little I could do, what I did do was filter out some obviously mature words and words that are beleived to be Google ‘Stop words’, ie words that could have a detrimental effect on how google views the site. So these words should no longer appear.
Well it appears this was not good enough, and sometime on Tuesday of this week they stopped serving the adsense ads on the site. I have tried an alternative ad network but it just isn’t doing what is needed.
I may rebrand the site, this worked once before when there was an issue a couple of years ago, I resolved the problem then but the effect was not quick enough to please adsense so a rebrand was the only option.

I’m in total disbelief…someone actually making money from adsense? I need help. I think I get a good number of visitors, general more comments than lots of pages I visit. I’m doing the dropping, I’m registering with the social networks. Did a grade analysis today and half of it is beyond my comprehension. Though it says I’m 95, google 2, Alexa, etc. Could you pop over for a look see?
I’m trying to understand Meta description and keywords. But, beyond knowing I need to add something, I’m not finding how or where on my page.

I do not earn much at all from adsense on other sites, just the one site. I find out of all of my sites, my log earns the least, actually it earns about $0 but I put much of that down to my varied topics, ie I do not just write about one area.
