It’s a bad internet day
October 22nd, 2009 by GregYep, I am having a bad Internet day. It took me forever to drop on a few blogs this morning, ok reading them takes a while but the EC widget wasn’t loading, either the ad was not displaying or the ‘drop’ button wasn’t loading, so have given up on that for a while.
I was thinking it could be just EC, but then I went to adsense and when I went to look at the full report for this month it said ‘no data available’ or something. I revisited some blogs and found also that some CMF ads where timing out aswell.
I rebooted my broadband router but that has made little difference, other sites appear OK, ie this blog loaded fine for me as did other sites.
Oh well, post this to my blog, try rebooting my laptop to see if that’s the problem and if not give up for a few hours and come back later. I work online, apart from periodic backups all my work is done on my server so a bad internet day is a bad day.

Sorry, I was backing the Internet up on my 486 Packard Bell. I stopped on floppy # 123,746,253 when I noticed you were having problems.

Ah thanks for the info Joby, was you just backing up or deleting some rubbish after backing it up? as there are still certain bits I can’t find.

Found a couple resource hogs one called Google??? seems to be out there serping everone’s sites for content, yet smacking the hands of others who do the same…

I have been having the problem with the drop button for months now. It makes me nuts because you have to hit reload, and if the site is slow loading anyway, you have to wait that much longer.
