Dropaholics is shutting down.
I am sorry to say that Dropaholics is shutting down.
There have been a number of bugs over the past 15 months with it and while looking into something recently I have discovered that the scripts that are meant to update blog info if it changes, ie blog button or title etc hasn’t been working correctly for a while.
Without fully investigating I don’t know exactly what has caused this to stop working, and at the moment I don’t have the time to put into checking and rewriting it.
If you are one of the 1300 blogs that have registered with the site then I want to thank you for taking part in it and if you have a widget on your blog could you please remove it.

The site itself works, the problem is that if someone updates their blog image or title on Entrecard then Dropaholics should update it’s database with the new details, this isn’t happening for some reason and at the moment I dont have the time to look into it.
I suppose I could just disable that function so when a blog is added, the image and title can’t be changed.

I am sorry to hear about this, Greg. I saw how Dropaholics grew. I and Windy have been very supportive of it. I hope to see it reinstated one day.

Oh, that’s too bad Gregg, I met a lot of bloggers through the dropaholics widget, it’s a shame it’s shutting down..

I’m sorry it will end, Gregg, but it was a really neat feature and I enjoyed having it (and watching it) on my blog these past few month–thank you for creating it!!

Greg, thanks a million for replying my SOS email LOL! While I am very sad to see dropaholics go, at least I now understand the reason behind my duplicate badges. Thanks so much for letting me know and I hope to see dropaholics back again one day. It was truly a wonderful widget, the best for EC Droppers. All the best!

i can’t seem to see what’s really wrong with dropaholics.com
yeah,ive seen some widgets that aren’t working well..but as can see in your blog here, ur still installing dropaholics widget..
