What alexa thinks
I was looking at Alexa for one of my sites and for the first time I read the summary text rather than going straight to the stats and graphs etc. Although I know figures provided by Alexa must be treated for what they are ie not the most accurate I did find it interesting, here is what they think of some of my sites:
‘Gregorymathews.com‘s three-month global Alexa traffic rank is 2,264,380. This site’s visitors view an average of 1.0 unique page per day. The fraction of visits to the site referred by search engines is very small, and visitors to this site spend roughly fifteen seconds on each pageview and a total of 32 seconds on the site during each visit. Gregorymathews.com is based in the UK.’
‘Bookmarkcenter.com‘s three-month global Alexa traffic rank is 230,279. Visitors to the site view an average of 1.3 unique pages per day. Relative to the overall population of internet users, this site appeals more to users who browse from school and home; its visitors also tend to consist of men earning less than $30,000 who are not college graduates and have more children. This site has a relatively good traffic rank in the cities of Gandul (#57) and Kediri (#690). Bookmarkcenter.com has a bounce rate of approximately 62% (i.e., 62% of visits consist of only one pageview)’
