Google running out of money?
March 29th, 2008 by Greg…. or have they just forgotten to pay a large number of Adsense Publishers?
Sorry its been so long, have been working on YzooBlog and lost track of time.
I am genuinely concerned about the financial state of Google, there are currenty rumors that their Q1 figures for 2008 are going to be poor, the US $ is at a low and most importantly its the 29th of March and Google have not started processing my payment yet.
Oh, one positive thing from my point of view - I know I am not the only one waiting for the PiP to appear, there are a number of other UK Adsense publishers getting concerned aswell.
In the Adsense account the payment schedule states :
Last day of month: If you are eligible to receive a payment, your payment details are posted to Payment History Page
That means on Monday they must provide details of my payment - how can they it’s not even been processed yet?
At the top of the ‘Payments history’ page it states
You are scheduled to be sent a payment by the 30th of this month
Now I may be a cinic at times but thats tomorow, a Sunday. How often does Google start processing payments at the weekend? In the 4 years I’ve been an Adsense publisher I’ve only known it a couple of times if that.
Why am I so concerned, well my February earnings where in the mid 5 figure amounts, thats a lot of money not to be paid.
I do hope that my concerns are proven wrong and that in the morning I can post again saying yea I can see a ‘Payment in Progress‘.
